Hello, World!

Hey everyone, I'm Megan Curd and I'm one of the newest members to TWV! I'm so excited to be part of the team, and hopefully I'm not too boring. No promises, though. :)

Anyway, I figure for my first post, I'll introduce myself. Like I said, my name is Megan and I'm a YA author that is fueled by coffee. My friend encouraged me to try my hand at writing while I was a senior in college, and I never looked back. It's been a blast! I have two novels out right now, BRIDGER and FORBIDDEN, with the sequel to Bridger, TRAITOR, coming soon. Those are all urban fantasies because let's face it, who doesn't love finding out their best friend is a witch, a faerie, or a werewolf? I'm also working on another book right now, tentatively titled STEEL LILY. That one is a mash-up of dystopian and steampunk, with a little bit of fantasy splashed in. Yeah, I know, it sounds crazy. I hope I can pull it off!

When I'm not writing, I'm spending time with my husband and son. We have a Great Dane named Stella, who takes up a large portion of our house. Traveling is something I enjoy and I've been blessed to have been able to go to Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, and the Bahamas. I did mission work in my South America trips, which is by far the most impactful and memorable thing I've ever done. When I was in Italy, I got to do one of my favorite things: snowboard! It was probably the best spring break imaginable. I also play the xBox with my brother when we both have time. We live in different states, so we'll get on and play Call of Duty together. Yeah, I'm a nerd. I love love love to read and I'm trying my hand at a book blogging site called Musings of a Write-Aholic. Go check it out if you haven't seen it!

As if I don't have enough to do, I also love to create book trailers and design bookmarks and eBook covers for fellow authors. Check out my book trailers on my YouTube channel, Studio 22 Productions. Ever heard the phrase, "Jack of all trades, master of none?" They totally coined that after me. I'm willing to give anything a try, and I love to do anything remotely creative.

Alright, I think that's a good enough intro to me...are you bored yet? I'm sure you will be soon enough. Just promise me if you check out my books, you'll at least use them to even out your coffee table. No using them for toilet paper! ;) I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here, and sharing my thoughts on everything from writing books, to being an indie author, to marketing, and pretty much anything that comes to mind.
